What are the penalties for marijuana possession in Texas?

Despite some other states and their laws that have legalized marijuana, in Texas marijuana is still illegal. You’re still going to get arrested. The most crucial and direct consequence of a marijuana conviction is a driver’s license suspension. If you’re over 21, it’s a six month suspension. If you’re under 21, it’s a year. If you’re driving under the influence of marijuana, it’s going to be the same penalties as if you were driving while intoxicated.

Because they consider smoking marijuana and being under the influence of THC as being intoxicated. So the same rules apply. In very limited circumstances, there are exceptions for medical marijuana. They should definitely call my office and speak to me so we can discuss the situation before they go try to deal with this case on their own.
